All concerts are on Tuesday nights beginning at 6:30 and ending at approximately 8:30.
July 12th: Coupe De Ville Sponsored by Dari Mart who will be supplying free ice cream!
Nostalgic rock 'n roll at its best. This band has played in years past at the Gazebo and always brings out a good crowd because they are very talented and lots of fun. They are more than singers and musicians, they are entertainers. Hear them at http://www.coupe-deville.com/coupesoundsamples.htm, then dust off your poodle skirt ladies, slick back your hair guys, and get ready to twist the night away.
July 19th: Taylors Crossing
Sponsored by Allied Waste
Taylors Crossing is a
hot Rockin' Country band from the Eugene area, led by Kimberly
and Leon Taylor who got married at the Harrisburg
Gazebo a few years ago. They have played all over the northwest. Last
year they put on an amazing concert at the Gazebo and they have now been
invited back by popular demand. Kimberly's rendition of the Patsy
Cline favorite, "Blue Moon of Kentucky", will blow you away. Learn more
and listen to their music at http://www.myspace.com/taylorscrossingband.
July 26th: Paul Biondi and Friends
Sponsored by Tri-County Insurance & Comcast
Paul Biondi began playing the saxophone in Philadelphia when he was only eight. As his talent grew, he found himself backing up such artists as
Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Ella Fitzgerald, Barbra
Streisand, Ray Charles, and Lena Horne. He was invited to tour with Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, and Ike
and Tina Turner. He then joined a yearlong world tour with Smokey
Robinson. He also wrote and played on movie scores and television theme
songs, and performed with The Temptations, the Four Tops, The
Drifters, The Platters, Jimmy Smith, Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers, Jack Sheldon, Tex
Beneke, The Cadillacs, and The Shirelles.
Fortunately for us, Paul's travels brought him to Oregon in 1992. He fell in love with our area and moved to Oregon in 1998.
Paul has surrounded himself with some other great musicians and vocalists.
A great band playing a great variety of familiar favorites makes for a great concert!
August 2nd: Scott Brockett
Sponsored by Pacific Power
According
to many, the best Summer Sounds concert of 2010 was the one put on by
the band Holding Out which featured the songs and musical talents of
Scott Brockett. Scott now has his own band. His talents are becoming
well known, especially after winning the 2010 "Portland Idol"
competition. Scott loves to connect with people through music that is
honest and down-to-earth.
With a style that is raw like pop/rock and smooth like soul, Scott
Brockett has the makings of creating something that can only be defined
as classic. Hear it for yourself and see their video at http://www.reverbnation.com/scottbrockettmusic.
